4-6 october 2011: 16 th CERES II Science Team Meeting
The 16th CERES-II Science Team Meeting was held 4-6 october in Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LNLL), California. Two members of the Megha-Tropiques french team, Olivier Chomette and Patrick Raberanto, were present and gave an oral presentation about the ScaRaB products and the opportunity to compare the CERES and the ScaRaB radiances. Launch of Megha-Tropiques scheduled for october,12th
CNES has organised a press briefing  the october, 3rd, the launch of Megha-Tropiques scheduled for october, 12th approaching. At this occasion, Rémy Roca, french PI of Megha-Tropiques has explained the scientific objectives of the mission during this press briefing. 26-28 sept 2011: WaVacs final workshop
The MT team hosted a COST workshop on the Atmospheric Water Vapour in the Climate System (WaVaCS) on 26-28 September 2011 at ENS, in Paris, France.  The workshop focused on water vapor time series and trends and on cirrus inhomogeneities and their relationship to the environmental water vapor field.

6-9 Sept. 2011,Lima (Peru), Scientific Meeting of the Environmental Research Observatory HYBAM
Dr Marielle Gosset represented MT at the IVth Scientific Meeting of the Environmental Research Observatory (ORE) HYBAM on the large Amazonian rivers - Lima (Peru) 6-9 September 2011 (http://www.ore-hybam.org/index.php/eng/Documents/Reuniones/IVeme-Reunion-Scientifique-de-l-ORE-HYBAM). Collaborative perspective on the validation and exploitation of Megha-Tropiques rainfall products in the Amazonian area were discussed with HYBAM scientists and partners, in particular with the Peruvian Servicio Nacional de Meteorologia e Hidrologia (SENAMHI), and the Brazilian Instituto de Pesquisas Hidraulicas (IPH) and Agencia Nacional de Aguas (ANA).

4 december 2010: The President of French Republic has visited Megha-Tropiques in India
The President of French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, has visited the ISRO satellite center at Bangalore in India, where the Megha-Tropiques plateform is in preparation.  The features of the satellite has been explained to the president as shown on this picture. The focus of this visit at ISRO was the Indo-French space collaborative projects such as Megha-Tropiques and SARAL(Satellite for Argos and Altika).
