July 2008: Agreement between CNES and ISRO on the data policy for Megha-Tropiques
The Joint Working Group of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the French Space Agency Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) met at Goa during July 5-6, 2008 to review the progress of on-going collaborative programmes under the chairmanship of Dr G Madhavan Nair, Chairman, ISRO and Dr Yannick d`Escatha, President, CNES. During the meeting, an Agreement between ISRO and CNES on the Data Policy for distribution of data received from Megha Tropiques was signed.

International MT Conference in India, January 2009

Annoucement of the International Conference on “MEGHA-TROPIQUES Science and Applications” Organized by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), hosted by Space Applications Centre in Ahmedabad, India January 21-23, 2009.


The primary goal of this conference will be to discuss how satellite data can be used to understand the variations in water vapor, clouds, liquid water, ice and radiation budget that occur in the tropics. The conference will have invited speakers as well as contributed papers. We welcome contributions from scientists all over the world. The conference website (http://www.mtconf2009.org ) provides more information about the conference, including the guidelines for submission of extended abstracts. All interested participants are requested to register through the conference website for receiving updates on the conference.
